标题: [教学] symantec的sem5.log文件太大，不小心删除掉，怎么办
因为symantec log的file占了好多空间，不小心把sem5.log delete了，结果导致Symantec Embedded Database Service不能重启。
C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\db\sem5.log
Symantec错误

1. SQLANYs_sem5: Unable to initialize requested communication links

2. The Symantec Embedded Database Service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.

问题1 - 删除sem5.log不能重启动

需要做以下的步骤
1. Stop Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Services in the services.msc

2. Click Start, click on Run and Type “CMD” then click OK

3. 记得在Task Manager把dbsrv11关掉这个process，才去CMD， In the Command Prompt type:
C:\Users\Administrator>Cd c:\
c:\>cd Program Files (x86)
c:\Program Files (x86)>cd Symantec
c:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec>cd Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager
c:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager>cd ASA
c:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\ASA>Cd win32
c:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\ASA\win32>dbsrv11.exe
之后，有个exe跳出来如下图，填上你的db位置、server的名字，然后按ok

4. 强制创建DB sem5.log. 在cmd里面键入: c:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\ASA\win32>dbsrv11 -f "C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\db\sem5.db" and press Enter

5. Click Start, click on Run and Type “services.msc” then click OK and start the Symantec Embedded Database Service

6. Start the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager service.

问题2 - 创建 DB sem5.log还是启动不了Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager service
